IGI, GIA and NGTC provide different services and reporting formats. Request the report suitable for your stone and intended use.
GIA changed its D-to-Z laboratory-grown diamond assessment from October 2025 to overall Premium or Standard descriptions. Do not assume all laboratories report colour, clarity, inscriptions or cut in the same way.
A no-post-growth-treatment request is a requirement to evaluate, not a phrase that can simply be added to any report. The laboratory determines the statement.
IGI: the Laboratory Grown Diamond Report identifies laboratory-grown origin and describes the stone’s characteristics. Requested growth-process and treatment comments depend on the applicable service and findings.
NGTC: offers identification and quality evaluation for colourless-to-near-colourless and coloured laboratory-grown diamonds. Confirm the current service, report format and applicable standards with the laboratory for your project.
